Brain and cognitive research peptides

Nootropic and regulatory neuropeptides for laboratory research, supplied in Canada as lyophilised material: Semax, Selank and DSIP.

Semax is a synthetic analogue of ACTH 4-10, a fragment of adrenocorticotropic hormone stripped of the parent hormone’s activity. Rodent work centres on BDNF and NGF expression in the hippocampus alongside behavioural testing, and the clinical work covers ischaemic stroke and cognitive disorders. Selank is a synthetic analogue of the immunopeptide tuftsin; its preclinical work examines GABAergic and monoamine signalling, and its clinical work covers anxiety disorders. For both, most of the literature is published in Russian and has not been widely replicated elsewhere. Both are registered as medicines in Russia only, and neither is approved in Canada, the United States or the EU.

DSIP is a nonapeptide isolated in the 1970s from rabbit cerebral venous blood. Its animal work measures sleep architecture by EEG, and there are a few small human studies; fifty years on, the findings still do not replicate consistently. It is not approved anywhere.

Every lot has a published certificate of analysis, and each product page summarises how far the evidence on that compound goes.

Supplied for laboratory research use only, not for human or veterinary use. Certificates for every lot are on testing results.
